3 Satoshi: A Move for Tomorrow (Satoshi no Seishun):
This biopic of a shōgi (Japanese chess) prodigy who died at age 29
after beating the era’s reigning champion,
rejects the genre’s standard sentimentality while making the game
itself gripping and its central character a complex, tragic figure.
As the title hero, Kenichi Matsuyama gives the performance of a lifetime.

3 聖：明日への一手←これ英題訳（聖の青春）
日本のチェスである将棋のチャンピオン（である羽生）を破り、
その後（わずか）29歳で亡くなった天才プレーヤー（である村山聖）
を描いた伝記（ドラマ）だが、感傷に流れず、対局（という闘い）
を中心に据え、複雑で悲劇的な人物として立像させている。
聖を演じた松山ケンイチは、一世一代の演技でそれに応えている。
